Cooking Time Prep. 10 Cooking 10 Ready In 20
I latched onto this recipe in the hopes of finding a sweet treat my 8-year-old would love and still have a minimal amount of fat and sugar. I modified the recipe some, using Splenda instead of sugar, Egg Beaters (with yolk) instead of egg, and Smart Balance margarine. I also baked them in a pan instead of making individual cookies. The result was a cake-like cookie bar that my son really liked. If something is borderline, he'll take one bite, say it's good, and then never touch it again. He ate several of these.

This was very good! Thanks! I did end up using more fish sause and a little soy sause and garlic salt for flavour. My son ate his whole plate and asked for seconds, and so did my husband. Awesome!

haven't tried this recipe yet - sounds good - BUT - why not tell us the oven temperature? A hot oven (to me) just means the oven is ON.

check out your recipe, it is flawed. do you mean taro leaves or taro root . taro leaves are more like a strong spinich but you would have to boil them for hours to take out the acid. by the way the name for taro leaf is luau , which is not in your list of ingredients. sorry you'r confusing me.
